Cancellation Policy

Please note that photoshoot sessions booked via frame-for-life.com are services related to leisure activities that are scheduled for a specific date and time. The photoshoot contract is concluded directly between the client and the selected independent photographer; frame-for-life.com acts as the booking platform. In accordance with § 312g paragraph 2 no. 9 of the German Civil Code (BGB) and Article 16 (l) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU on Consumer Rights, the statutory right of withdrawal for distance contracts does not apply to contracts for the provision of services related to leisure activities if the contract provides for a specific date or period of performance. By confirming a photoshoot booking, the consumer acknowledges that the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to this appointment-based service.

Although there is no statutory right of withdrawal for scheduled photoshoot sessions, the following voluntary, fair and transparent cancellation policy applies to all bookings made via the platform. It is designed to give clients maximum flexibility and peace of mind when booking, and to protect photographers from lost time:

• A 20% deposit is required to confirm your booking. The remaining balance is paid directly to the photographer at the meeting location.
• Cancellation more than 48 hours before the session (local time of the city of the photoshoot): Free of charge. You may cancel your booking, and your 20% deposit will be refunded in full.
• Cancellation less than 48 hours before the session: The 20% deposit is retained as a non-refundable cancellation fee in favour of the photographer. This compensates the photographer for the time slot that was exclusively reserved for you and cannot be rebooked at short notice.

The cancellation fee is automatically deducted from the booking deposit.

Cancellations must be communicated to us in writing by e-mail to info@art-trash.com or via the contact form on our website. For your protection, a cancellation is only valid if sent from the e-mail address used for the booking. We will confirm receipt of your cancellation in writing and notify your photographer immediately; the time of receipt of your cancellation notice is decisive for determining which cancellation condition applies. We understand that travel plans and personal circumstances can change unexpectedly. This voluntary cancellation policy is our commitment to ensuring a simple, fair and stress-free experience for every client and photographer.

If the photographer cancels a confirmed booking for reasons within their control, we will endeavour to arrange a comparable replacement photographer for the same date at the same price and conditions; this matching service is provided at no additional cost to the client. If no replacement can be found, any payments already made by the client for this booking (including any deposit and platform service fee) are refunded in full; no cancellation fee applies. If the session cannot take place for reasons beyond the parties' control (e.g., severe weather conditions, flight cancellation, unexpected closure of the location, official orders), the client and the photographer shall first attempt to agree on a new date or an alternative location; if rescheduling is not possible, the booking is cancelled free of charge and any payments already made are refunded in full. Further claims against the platform are excluded to the extent permitted by law.

As the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to scheduled photoshoot services as described above, the model withdrawal form pursuant to Annex 2 of the EGBGB is not applicable to contracts concluded via frame-for-life.com. Should you wish to cancel your booking, please use the voluntary cancellation policy described above and contact us directly by e-mail.

This cancellation policy is governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany. If you are a consumer habitually resident in another EU member state, the mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected. This policy is published in several languages for convenience: for users habitually resident in Germany, the German version prevails; for all other users, the English version prevails.
